I figure that each mouse wil produce 10 to 12 pups per month, so a 1.4 group will produce 40 to 48. Then figure out how many mice you will need for the adults. It is better to over produce and freeze, IMHO. This also protects you from drops in production. As for the hatchlings, will they want fresh killed or frozen thawed? If they will eat frozen, then you can put some of your extra production away for that. If not, then you can ramp up production once you see signs the snakes are gravid. It's better to ramp up early than late, freeezing extra's is far cheaper than buying pinks. To make up for inconsistancies in birth timming, you may want to double your production if you need fresh killed.
