When I get a new adult male, they will sometimes do this for the first 2-3 litters (if I don't separate them in time,) but quit after a few weeks. I have never had one continue it for longer than a few weeks, maybe I have been lucky, maybe it is the norm.

If they were only killed, not eaten, it will probably pass.
