that is the most important thing, the fact that she really is a good mother and something out of the ordinary trigered this. You have to find out what could have caused it. Either a new rat in the colony, lack of food, or most likely stress from too much human interaction. It's good news that she is not a first time mother, think of what could have changed from the last time she had babies.
