in my experience, my rats have between 12-17 pinks per female per litter.. but thats not "average".. i would say average is in the neighborhood of 7-9..

rate of growth is also another "hard" question.. what is your definition of a "fuzzy", or a "medium" or a "jumbo".. every rat grows diffrently, depending on diet, care, and genetics..

some rats can reach "large" size in 12-14 weeks.. some take longer.. i have a "jumbo" rat that weighs almost 800 grams.. he looks like a small dog sometimes, but he is far from "typical"..

i would say if you are breeding for "jumbo" it would probably be better to buy them frozen, and save yourself 3-6 months of growing and feeding bills.. it takes ALOT of food and bedding and time to get a rat up to the 300-500 gram range..
