I have been using them for both rats and mice for several months now and the only chewing I have had was one of the mice tubs where they had chewed the hole the water bottle tube went through. They had enlarged it enouth to almost squeeze out. Solution; I used a large washer that had a hole that the tube could fit through and used it as a collar around the tube by glueing it over the enlarged hole. Chewing stopped and they haven't chewed anywhere else.
