I live in Dothan, Alabama & saw the ad in reptiles magazine about the May 26 & 27th Reptile Show. When I called the phone # listed it was disconnected. I went to the office of the fairgrounds & was told that they knew nothing about a reptile show, but to check at the Farm Center where previous pet markets have been held.
The manager of the Houston Co. Farm Center said that the Pet Market for May 26th & 27th had been canceled due to low attendance in the past & that someone has booked the farm center for that date to have a Bird Show. I am disappointed about the show being canceled because Dothan is a great place for a reptile show if it were advertised. Had I not had friends selling reptiles at the previous pet markets held here I would not have known about the show due to the lack of advertising. Up until this show that was canceled the only local advertising was in the local Thrifty Nickel ( a free want ads paper).
