: Recognize this little guy? He is a real ripper! We try very hard to have a quality herp society. There are a lot of herp societys out there and most are either not friendly or not consistent. We have also run into the "anti" societys that want you to join as long as you do not keep anything large or hot. We are not like that. We accept anyone no matter what they keep or what their level of knowledge or interest. We send out a very large newsletter (over 20 pages!) that is filled with general interest news and articles about all types of reptiles and amphibians. All members are encouraged to write articles for our newsletter and the officers try to write articles when they can. We have some exciting trips in the works for 2002 including some behind the scenes zoo trips. We meet the second Saturday of every month at the University of Texas at Tyler at 7:00pm. We are nothing if not friendly.
