When I was in high-school, I worked at this pet shop to
help pay my tuition.I live in deep south Texas. Anyway, a guy
comes in with this half dead lizard and gives it to me because
he dosnt know what else to do with it. He said he found it on the
sidewalk in Rio Grand City. This was in winter, but we have mild winters
but it was still really cold outside (50 deg). Anyway I took the lizard
home and put him on a heating pad on low. after a while it was right as rain,
The lizard lived in my room for years! He slept on my hand with his head on
my wrist and his tail hanging down between my fingers. His legs would dangle and
he would rub his belly on my palm to get comfy. The lizard (I never gave him a name,
just called him lizard) Was brown with leopard spots he had a long tail and he could
run on his hind legs. He killed roaches but wouldnt ever eat them,
but he really liked crickets. I have never seen another lizard like it. I breed
leopard geckos now,(gee, I wonder what inspired that?) but I would really
like to find out what that lizard was and get a few more.
If anyone has any info, please let me know! Lynn
