The next ETHS general meeting will be on Friday, March 14, 2003 at the Brown Education Center - to the left of Houston Zoos main entrance at 7:45PM
In 1995, and again in 1996 Joe Furman traveled with Paul Freed to Paraguay to help both the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and the Paraguayan Museum do a survey of the reptiles and amphibians of the country. Collectively, 80 different species were collected and documented. Most of the frogs were vediotaped in situ (where they were found) and show the astounding diversity of frog calls and mating behaviors. Over the last 5 years Joe has condensed 20 hours of raw footage into a 50 minute video of Paraguayan frogs and toads.
Joe has done presentations for us before and they're always entertaining! His sense of humor is "colorful" to say the leas, you need only look at his cartoons in the newsletter to see that! This is a meeting you won't want to miss!
