I had a young pair of rough scaled sand boas that I kept in a 10 gal aquarium with one of those velcro screen tops. Well, that didn't last long before I looked in there one day and both were gone. I think this was about march. About around Sept...(I'm guessing but it was about to turn cold) I was under my house making sure the furnace would be ok for the fast approaching winter. Lo and behold if I didn't spot one of the little suckers in the dust about 5 ft from me. He looked alright...not too skiny ect, ect. Then I got to thinking, so I started crawling around lifting up stuff. 3 min later I located the other one. Now what is the odds of finding not one, but both at the same time approx 6 months after an escape? I don't know why they didn't just leave the area. Being under my house it should have been easy. Maybe being sandboas they liked the deep dust and dirt over the grass?....don't know.
