I had one of my new albino geckos escape last friday night... she ran into a pile of boxes nearby, by the time I could get into them, she was nowhere to be found... RATS.... I figured I'd find her eventually.... hopefully alive.

I wasn't too worried about my cat, he's not had any hunting experience.... I figured the gecko would get away if he found it, at the worse case minus a tail....

WELL... I went into the bathroom tonight (next room over from where the gecko escaped) and I noticed my cat laying down, intently staring AT HIS LITTERBOX... this was very weird, but I thought it was an escaped cricket (he loves to chase them, hence no cricket noises in my house)... so I lifted up the litterbox (its in the bathroom closet, in a corner)... AND THERE WAS THE GECKO... no worse for the wear, her tail was just a bit skinnier than before.

Kitty got a nice meal (not gecko) tonight.... and some extra attention. And the gecko is back with her cagemates and mealworms.

Just thought I'd relate that story to all of you :)

Greg
