Ever since I lost the cal king I've kept an eye on the ground in my mouse room, looking for her. Yesterday I noticed a snake tail poking out of a hole in teh wall. Grabbed it and gently extracted it from the wall... wasn't my king snake, but was my previously escaped ground snake. Still have hope that I'll find my hatchling cal king. But I'm real afraid she'll die of dehydration or starvation before I can find her! The good thing is that there is at least one escaped mouse, at least one escaped anole, and hatchling house geckos. So hopefully she'll find enough to eat. We have water set out for her.

Anyway, it was nice to find the ground snake. Gives me hope that I'll find the cal king.
