If there is anywhere nearby like a garage or something where mice could live you could try waiting until dark and just looking around for it with a flashlight. Also, you could do this which may be an OK idea-- get a minnow trap, put either a f/t mouse or a live one in there, or even just some food to attract a mouse into it, and then the snake. Leave it out and hope hungry snake comes in, eats and can't get out. I knew someone who would catch wild snakes this way. Good luck!!
