Help Needed.

Last night a friend gave me his snake, it's about 3 1/2 feet, boa-python I was told, loves to just curl up in a ball wherever it is. I was watching the wwf tonight with it in my site, without the cover because although it's only been 24 hours she's always been very passive, I had her outside in my hand today and she just stayed there curled up. Anyways, I went to my PC for about 10mins, came back, danm thing is gone. Now I've seen the way it constricted a rat tonight, but my cat is a good 10lbs, and a fighter.. 12 yrz old. this snake is 10yrs old (Not sure what age has to do with this) but in this basement apt. every door was open and in the back there is on ehell of a storage room. I've had to search my place for other things before, and so far no luck. A) I am worried about my cat being attacked by it - B) I want it back in my care so I can take care of it, the house it was at didn't seem proper - C) I know they need one mouse a week, what is their life expectancy?

I am totally serious, it's not comfortable knowing the snake only being 3 1/2 ft, thats pretty long, may attack my cat . PERHAPS. I need to find this piece of crap soon, any suggestions please help. violator@rogers.com and I'll check back here soon too, thanks!
