What % of time do lost snakes show up?

My corn snake escaped 3 1/2 weeks ago. Because it is warm, windows and sometimes, doors, have been open. The old mouse in the room is not working. I am worried that she is gone for good. We have had other escapees in the past and they have always reappeared but I am feeling pretty dismal about this one. (She had gotten out before and I thought that I fixed the cage problem. I think that this escape was my fault and I feel pretty guilty). How many of you have had escapees that never turned up?
