Lost my beautiful ball python! PLEASE HELP ME!

I love my ball python Murdoc very much. I couldnt bear parting with him. this morning i awoke and to my dismay, the lid on Murdoc's enclosure was ajar. I have been searching high and low for 5 hours now and i dont know what else i can do. PLEASE, PLEASE help me!
