lost snake

the nightmare has happened. I told my wife that I would never lose a snake in the flat. But it seems as though my little sinaloan has slipped out of the specially designed viv that I put him in ( a very expensive Hirota - after his move from a plastic jobby - pending another relocation due to happen today to an older viv). There is a tiny hole for cables etc out the side/top and I can only think that he slipped away through that.
LET THIS BE A LESSON TO OTHERS WHO THINK THEY HAVE THEIR SNAKES SECURELY TUCKED AWAY.
I have done a good search over the last couple of hours, but no success yet. I have two cats....but I think that they would leave him alone.
I remember seeing a posting or an actual web site somewhere which was specifically about where to look if you lose a snake. Bearing in mind the ave temp here is 26celc. here, with 70% humidity, he is not going to suffer too much. But apart from pegging a mouse in the middle of the floor, have you any idea how to find him!
Any help appreciated....
