Found Lost King...But is he okay?

Help! The Cali king that was thought to be stolen over 6months ago has popped out in the utensils drawer. I have him after baiting a trap. He was in the ceiling in the furnace room (under the bathroom. The problem is his owner is gone and I am left to care for a 3.5 ft no longer docile pet. I can't tell if he is well. I found him on april 21. I fed him a little mouse which he gobbled up. Last friday I gave him 2 mice. He ate one and threw it up yesterday (may6) I removed the other one. He moved around lots last night and when I came home today he had shed. should I feed him? I dont know how to care for him...I would appreciate any help in learning. ps I am a little scared to handle him...he used to be so sweet!
