LOST:baby california king

I lost my baby kingsnake 1/1/02. He has been gone a while now, and i feel hes not going to come out. I have a hole in the closet in my snake room that leads outside, but it was cold outside and still is. Any chance he stayed inside? Or should i consider him MIA? Any good techniques to find him if hes still inside? I have a water heater outside right beside the hole he might have gone out of, any chance he may be under there brumating? He wasnt eating prior to the escape, he seemed to be brumating.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated:)
