Lost & recovered Corn

We have become the proud owners of a Herp Corn. Beautiful, but an escape artist! Twice in the two weeks we've had her, she's escaped. The first time was for a day. The second time...overnight. What we did is put newspapers in all the doorways with a 3" wide strip of flour across them. Then I set water, mouse, and turned on the gas fireplace in the living room. The next morning, there was a trail through the flour from the back utility room. No return trails, so we knew she was in the family room. Sure enough, she was coiled up under the recliner...no worse for wear!
