If you are sure it is in the room keep looking. It is amazing where they will hide. I found one in a 3 ring binder just a couple of weeks ago. Look everywhere. Under furniture, up drapes, everywhere you can think of even if you don't think there is anyway it could get there. You can also cool the room and place a heat lamp or heating pad in the room to attact it. Night is probably the best time to expect the snake to show up. Keep the lights out and listen. You can actually hear a snake crawl over the floor.
