babies are almost always a rusty, goldish color and very, very few ever become the classic gold phase which is seen in the books. Even if both the parents are gold it does not garuntee your baby will be. Capes are weird like that.
Anyway, just wanted to fill you in so you wont be upset when the cobra turns red, brown, speckled or any of the other 1000 different phases which this sp can become. Hopefully you will luck out but dont count on it.
BTW, as for feeding, capes seem to do rather well on pinky/fuzzy mice strait from birth. Id try that first and then if you experince any feeding probs, look into getting some frogs or lizards to sent with. Even try egg yoke and chicken broth/peice of chicken(worked well on my juvi blk necked spitter)
Keep us informed and good luck with the little hell spawn.
Regards,
J
:I picked up a baby gold cape today. I set him up and now I'm wondering what's best to start her off on food wise? What gets the best response?
