Patna: The unrelenting cold wave has not spared the men-in-uniform, and the Patna policemen are shivering, although a bit differently.
The biting cold on Tuesday forced two huge cobras to come out in open in the Gardanibagh police station. It caused trepidation not only among the Gardanibagh policemen but also among those posted elsewhere in the city. For, the panicky Gardanibagh policemen made distress calls over phone to their colleagues, asking if they knew any snake charmer in their respective areas who could save them from the reptiles.
"The cobras were finally caught by a team called from the Patna zoo but such a problem can face any of the police stations which have old, dilapidated buildings constructed during the British rule," rued a police officer.
