gramineus is in Trimeresurus. However, as far as it is possible to trace this, none of the various toxins attributed to T. gramineus are actually from that species (which is endemic to SW India), but most likely from Taiwanese T. stejnegeri.
Most of the Asian green Trims were called T. gramineus in the early parts of this century. The herpers moved on from that in the 1930s and 1940s, but we both know what many toxinologists are like when it comes ot taxonomy ;-)
