Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I don't believe N. naja has a wintering period in their home ranges. I know when kept in captivity, these snakes don't need a cooling period even for breeding. Richard Mastenbroek describes getting them to breed better by providing a monsoon-like season for them, but they certainly don't need it. If your snake has stopped eating, I'd think it's for something other reason than seasonal cycling.
