BTW Richard, a subspecies is not the same thing as a species. I'd get your mate WW to educate you on this sort of thing.
Also, now that we know what David Williams and WW think of Hoser's latest taxonomic work, could they please explain on what basis, other than geographic that the new Guinea subspecies of Taipan is separated from the north Queensland one.
Also, it'd be interesting to see what some hands on and knowledgable herpers like Wells and Wellington think of Hoser's division of Oxyuranus.
