hi dean. you don't need any special schooling. i'm fifteen and breeding reptile very successfully without schooling. if you decide to do it by yourself, it will seem at first that you are spending money and not earning any.this is true. but once you get it started you don't have to worry about expenses any more. the babies payoff what you spent and more .if you want to gain knowledge of the reptiles you are breeding,buy a book aimed only towards that reptile and buy books aimed towards all reptiles. Also you can use the internet.I gain most my knowledge through a reptile store. i talk to the owners and have become good friends with them. other herps are very helpful. this is a good way to do it on your own and it will help you later if you want to do it with a larger breeder.
