I run an educational outreach in Tacoma, WA. I like to start the program off with letting the kids know where a safe place to go is in the event they feel uncomfortable (Back of room usually) I also strongly emphasize that parents & teachers would not let me bring dangerous animals into the classroom. Keeping a humourous air about the presentation is very important. some kids who don't want to touch the snake will touch a shed skin and then touch the snake, don't try to force them and don't let teachers force them either(let teachers know this before hand!) I have a small library of resources that I will be happy to share if you want to contact me.
