I can tell you a few colleges who have well known herpetologists as professors in their biology departments (this means lots of opportunities to do herp-related research!):
Central Michigan Universtiy (Dr. James Gillingham...the best that I know)
Eastern Illinois University
University of Florida
New Mexico State (or maye its U of NM)
I am sure that there are many others out there but I am only speaking on personal experience. Hope it helps.
: Is there a way to find out which colleges have herpetology departments? I can usually find an occasional course checking out the Biology listings but is there a better way? Lauren
