CAMBRIDGE EVENING NEWS (UK) 09 March 00 School's slithery visitors
Youngsters came face-to-face with a variety of exotic reptiles when they visited a Cambridge school.
The children from Shirley Infant School in Chesterton met the animals from The Reptile Experience as part of an arts week.
They will produce work on the scaly visitors based on their experiences.
The reptiles included a corn snake, rosy boa, bearded dragon and a foot-long African millipede.
Bonita Rogers, the teacher who organised the event, said: "It was a wonderful experience for the children. They had a chance to
touch the reptiles and handle them themselves which they really enjoyed.
"Very few of them were scared and they all wanted to handle them."
