Has anyone kept a WD on a dirt substrate? I know about baking/sterilizing, etc. Plus I have aspen shreddings(wood, not bark) that I may try out as well. I am planning on mixing the dirt w/the aspen and the current substrate that Ihave that is still good and I am planning on trying a more foresty type viv w/out plant pots. I'll bolt a tarp to the bottom and sides to keep the cage from getting sopping wet. Plus, some of the ground will have grass. I'll have to concentrate more dirt by the plants plus anchor them w/rocks as I have what I thought was a dead yucca sprouting. I'm going to try it w/ my leopard geckoes' home first, then my 75 gal to see if it works. I'm still debating on whether I should try it w/ Kane's current cage or the replacement. BTW, the newspaper on the bottom is still dry w/the current arrangement of newpaper/rug/substrate.
