Eco earth, bed a beast, and forrest bed are the same as far as ingredients...but bed a beast is the only one that is baked and puried...no insects and no fertilizers or chemicals.

:Does anyone else use this as a substrate? I love it as a substrate personally, but I keep finding VERY VERY VERY little bugs in it. The bugs almost look like little tiny crickets, smaller then gnats. Last time I had a fecal done (which was clean btw) I took one of the bugs in and the vet said I could change the substrate, but they're just little bugs, nothing to get worked up about. Has anyone else had this happen. Maybe I should freeze the eco earth before I use it. Maybe I'll e-mail the company and tell them that it keeps happening.
