Rick:: The water should be not be warmer then the air temperatures and cooler is fine. good luck with the UGF, however the UGF depends on the gravel in the pond to act as a substrate for the bacteria. This is far less effective fitler then the wetland and the bottom line is you need a larger water volume for either to work the way you want it too.
