Feeding snails & slugs

Well I havn't fed them to him yet. Just wondering because I have tons of them here in San Diego Cal. The young snails have soft shells that crush easily. I don't have any idea if they are able to be fed to the water dragon. I know he'd eat them, he eats anything that moves.

:I feed frogs and shrimp and I have always wanted to try snails and slugs...how do you do it?? I mean don't snails have shells? and are they wild caught? If so what part of the country?
