How do they sleep underwater?

:I have a water dragon that used to hold her breath under the water for up to 20 minutes. When I would take to her to amek sure she was okay she would be very cold and alomost black. It seemed like she almost went into a type of hibernation.

:Thats what I mean. My guy stays under water for quite a while with his eyes closed.(it looks like he's sleeping, although it's hard to be sure).
