I have a Water Dragon and a Bearded Dragon. As for feeding, since I got the BD first, that's the Lizard I learned how to feed. For both dragons, I give a salad in the morning (BD loves salad, WD won't touch it, but it's still offered) and crickets later on in the day. Anyways, on the BD board, whenever the question of pinkies comes up, quite a few people will come right up and say that you should NEVER feed pinkies, and some will say it's okay as long as it's not to often. Basically it ranges from NEVER to once every few weeks. I had always assumed that the same held for WDs. But I come across posts here from time to time about people feeding pinkies and fuzzies rather often. So my question is, from what I gather, pinkies should only be a treat for BD's but what about WD. (Also my guy is too small for fuzzies, so we won't worry about that.) Also, I should mention that the WD won't eat anything that doesn't move. He can stare at a cricket for a minute, but the second it moves he eats it. I've tried to give him pinkies before and he won't take them, I tried waving them around, jiggling them in front of his face, leaving them in his bowl all day, even cutting them in half so he could smell it, and he won't touch them. But the one time I tossed a live pinkie in, it was eaten before as soon as it tried to walk. (He seems to know the difference between live food, and dead food that I'm moving). Anybody know how to get him to eat them, or where to get live ones?
