I used to keep beardies in a horse watering trough. It was one of those oblong ones that is 30 inches by 6 or 7 feet. I used play sand in the bottom of it mixed with a little topsoil. It worked great. I no longer keep beardies but they are neet. I got the horse trough at Home Depot for $75 or so. The horse trough is not really that attractive but roomy and practable.
