Our April newsletter is printed and ready to be addressed and mailed. Members should get their copy by midweek.
The Herp of the Month this time is the Scorpion Mud Turtle, a small Latin American Kinosternid turtle that Carl Franklin has written about.
I've also included an interview with John Herron, Texas Parks & Wildlife's Chief of Wildlife Diversity. He's the guy in charge regarding regulations herpers sometimes don't like (the nongame collecting permits) and the regulations we wish we had (such as regulating rattlesnake roundups). I interviewed Mr. Herron week before last.
Steve and Kelli Hammack wrote about treating reptile collections for mites in their column, "HISS & That".
News and info about the upcoming elections is included. Hope you enjoy it.
