eye problems

I've recently acquired a 10 foot boa. Her eye is recessed. There is no swelling, no other abnormalties. Just that her left eye seems to be recessed into her head. Over a period of two weeks, we've tried many things to see if she could see from this eye and got no response. She hasn't ate in a total of 6 to 8 weeks. She strikes and coils but then lets go and goes on about her business. I've never seen an eye this recessed before. Any comments or suggestions?
