Anyone experienced with Tegus???

I have a pair of Argentine red tegus. I'm trying to find out if they are male and female. When I bought them the seller told me that she could only guess the sex but no guarantees. I've spoke to several people and most tell me that all I can do is wait until they are adults and hope. I've also been told by some that I should be able to see the bulge near vent but I can't tell any difference between the 2.
They are less than a year old. a little over 2 feet and over 2 pounds.
Anyone know how to properly sex these guys?
