Hi Meagan,
What type of mites are you ordering? Since most are predatory in nature I just have to ask. I also maintain invertebrates in the same room as most of my reptiels and I have used sections of "no pest strip" in perforated film canisters with my larger pythons with no apparent ill effects to the invertebrates. Also proventamite is really effective in ending the mite life cycle. I used it last May and there has been no resurgence of mites since then. I recommend using those two products and following their instructions.
Good luck
Carl
