I would like to take a moment to address the recent exchanges on this forum. While free speech is a basic constitutional right here in the good ol' U S of A, there is a time and a place. The purpose of the forums graciously hosted by kingsnake.com is for the exchange of ideas, too many individuals out in cyberland have corrupted the concept of exchange and turned it into an opportunity to post criticisms and ridicule others. Case in point, has anyone visited the venomous reptile forum lately? You can't because it was shut down due to the abusive nature of a number of postings.
So, how do we correct this problem and prevent from occurring on a herp society's fourm?
Let's start with being very clear when we post items. Reread your message before posting and ask yourself if it will be understood by those that read it. Ask yourself what is the purpose of my posting? Is it to exchange a thought or seek help or is it to create a controversy? If it is the latter, please find another forum to post such items. It isn't needed nor appreciated here.
