: Yes the nature center of Fort Worth is a great place to see herps. Ive seen alot of cotton mouths this year, had a tangle with a veryagresive yellow bellied green racer out at greer island on the water walk. Thought heck, why not pick it up, so i pinned it and all hadez broke loose. He wrapped up around my hook and shaft and was holding on for deer life. He got his head loose about the time i thought ide let him go anyway, and he rose up and was strikeing the hook shaft and was generaly ticked off. Has anyone here ever seen a racer realy ticked? They flare there jaws way out and even though you know its a racer, suddenly the head takes on the eary characteristics of a venomous demon from hell. A bluff that was convincing enough to me that i let it go its way. But where are you guys seeing copperheads? Now that you mention the bottomlands over by the walkway, thats the one place i never thought to go, mainly because theres too many people there. Anyway, enjoy the reading. lol skinner
