We should do more to make the meeting place clear. However, had you arrived before the meeting started (6pm) you would have seen the door to the room open and people standing around - just across the drive from the expo building in room 530. Arriving late, you didn't see anything showing where the meeting would be.

We'll try to have signs or something next time.
