Hey Chipper: I don't know where you are located, but I found a vet in Greenville, Texas that is actually knowledgeable about tortoises! Oddly, he is really a farm animal vet but has a lot of knowledge in the area of torts. I have taken my tortoises to him and he has helped out tremendously. His name is Dr. McCreary and his telephone number is 903-455-8588. The techs that work for him are really nice but don't know about our beloved torts. Try to talk to him. I believe he can help you out.
