: what is the dfw herp socity exactly?

Hi Daniel,

I'll add a quick comment to what Steve and Maggie have mentioned. Several of us met at the TX Reptile Expo back in September and agreed that we wanted to put together a new herp society, and a number of us have stayed in touch since that time, working on it. Along the way we've been joined by some good folks like Maggie. At the next TX Reptile Expo on Dec. 4 we will meet again to finalize plans and announce the first "program" meeting, probably the 3rd Saturday in January. There is some additional information about our aims and ideas that you can access from kingsnake.com. Go to the page for "herp societies" and click "DFW Herp Society". It will take you to some preliminary info - not much of a web site yet, but that's coming. Hope to see you on Dec. 4!

Michael Smith
Acting Newletter Editor, DFW Herp Society
