I have seen the red color phase in the prarie kings from around the Humble, Lake Houston area. In about 82' we collectted a red one much as you are showing. I kept her for several years and bred her to normal males and never produced another red one. It would be interesting to get the color phase going though as prarie's are really neglected animals in the hobby. Try to isolate the phase and produce some. Let us know how it goes.
