Housing yearling Cubans together???

I have a question that I hope someone can answer for me. I have a young Cuban male, and have been considering getting a female as well. I was wondering if it would be possible to house the two together, or if they would have to be kept separately. I have heard of some fairly aggressive adults that could only be together during breeding season or they would end up tearing each other apart. But I was wondering if it would be different if they were raised together from a young age. I appreciate the input!!
