which species is this afterall???

Ok, I spoke with Manny on his gorgeous spiny tails he has.
He said they are C. similis. I was told my wee one is of this species by a friend who also has one that is female.
I must say I'm confused. I just want to know (yet again) what species this is. Manny says he looks like a club-tailed spiny.

Anyone confirm?
