Excellent research and post but:

I beleive that short list IS every herp you are allowed to own. You are correct in that some lists say that "these you can own" and these you can't. But if I remember correctly the Iguanid list says "the following species are exempt." This means those are exempt from the ban. That's how I understand it. I'd rather you be right!
